BELIEVE.

What We

At First Presbyterian, we follow the Reformed tradition of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), centering our life on God’s grace, the love of Jesus Christ, and the call to serve. We believe the Bible is God’s living Word, guiding us in faith, worship, and how we live in the world.

We value a church shaped by community — where all people are welcomed, and each person’s gifts matter. We believe salvation is a gift of grace, not earned by works, and that God calls us to share that hope by loving our neighbors and working for justice, compassion, and peace.

We are committed to living out our faith together through worship, fellowship, and mission — to care for one another, to serve the broader community, and to bear witness to Christ’s love in word and deed.

Member Anna Daniel shares how she went through a crisis of faith in the 1980's and how the community at First Presbyterian Church carried her through the trials of life.

"Once you come in our doors, you're embraced and the people care about you and what's going on with your life and how we can be a part of it."

"But this church is friendly, and they opened up their arms to us and invited us in as if we had been here for years."

Kathy McDowell shares the story of how she and her husband, Rick, came to be involved at First Presbyterian Church.
