What's New?

No more stone casting.
As the pastor I'm good at many things, some are not good things.
I am experienced at casting the first stone.  Judge not lest you be judged is even more difficult for me.  "Who are you to judge anothers' servant?" cuts me for I have been quick to judge. I read what Jesus said to the O So Holy, religious folks of his day who were so quick to judge and condemn, to call out sinners.  I'm trying to let Jesus be the righteous judge.  He doesn't need my help calling other people's fouls.

Things I Like About the Presbyterian Church USA
No one does mission better. supported by the congregations of Palo Duro Presbytery is one example of the best.  Long term sustainable, Christ centered.
Solar Under the Sun supported by the congregations of the Synod of the Sun is another great mission.

Christie Clark had been Presbyterian her adult life.  But she grew up in another Church.  I asked her, “Why’d you move to a Presbyterian Church?”  “Because I had questions I could not even ask at my old church.”  It’s not always easy but I like a church where we can ask hard and uncomfortable questions.

Only by sticking to our convictions and sticking with each other can we hope to become anything like the body of Christ.  Presbyterians are a diverse bunch which insist on sticking together.  Good friends can disagree and still watch the others back.  The freedom I have in following Jesus I extend to others who I don't always agree with.
